I recently attended a seminar entitled 2010 Medicare changes put on by the above named corp. At this seminar the speaker told us if we wanted to be in the 20% of providers that get their claims paid or denied in 30 days we needed to place a sticker ON our claim that reads "unless this claim is paid or denied within 30 days we will file a formal written complaint with the Insurance Commissioner. The speaker stated to place this sticker anywhere on the front of the claim. I purchase these stickers and started placing them on all of our claims. I did this for a month to hundreds of claims. A month later I started receiving the claims back from Medicare stating that we are not allowed to alter, write on or attach anything to the claims. I called NPCC to inquire as to why the speaker made such a point of us using these stickers when Medicare wont allow it. I have called NPCC several times and left numerous messages but have never heard back from them.
My question is does anyone know anything about this corp. We paid $147.00 to attend the seminar and another $597.77 for their educational CDs and training material. Based the what Medicare is doing with our claims I am nervous about using their other materials.
Thank you for any input
