I thought only the person who signed accepting responsibility was liable but was in a class today on bad debt/collections and was told that spouse's are liable for each other's bills - joint debt regardless of who signed. Does anyone know where I can find documentation supporting this? THANK YOU!!

If you are going to send to collections, send all the data you have on both spouses, and let your collection agency handle it. Sharon

If you cannot contact the instructor, contact the people who put the class together and have them contact the instructor. If you are in a class or seminar and you hear something that sounds different or unknown to you, always raise your hand and question the person. Ask to see their reference.
