I am an air transport biller, I bill out of Cali but services are rendered in Florida and in 2002 there was a FL statute out there that stated emergancy services and care shall be provided to subscribers in er situations and paid by the HMO at not less than 75% of the reasonable charges for covered services. This is under the flsente.gov/ view statutes/ 2002 Insurance / Prompt pay of claims/ #641.31 (12) . My question is I am fighting and fighting with these HMO carriers ( BCBS, AETNA) They are not paying nearly 75% but less..
Anyone out there know where I can find the current statute or anyone know if this has changed over the years? Thanks so much
Cass
