Hi all,
Kindly advice what code would you choose for the following scenario:
Patient was placed on the fluoroscopy table in the supine position and the indwelling right inguinal sheath and infusion catheter were prepped and draped in a normal sterile fashion. This was performed after the catheters were disconnected from the running heparin and thrombolytic medication. The infusion catheter was removed from the sheath. Contrast was injected through the sheat via hand injection which showed successful thrombolysis of the right iliac graft. Contrast injection through the sheath was then performed with imaging the right lower extremity to the ankle in a step wise fashion using digital subtraction angiography. There is narrowing of the common femoral artery although there was no hemodynamically significant stenosis seen and no anastomotic stenosis identified of the graft.
At this point, the end point for the thrombolytic therapy appeared to have bee Reached and patient tolerated the procedure well.
Impression:
Successful thrombolysis of the right pelvic iliac graft. There is relative return of the appearance of the right lower extremity vasculature to the appearance as seen on the MR Of 10/07/05
What code can be coded along with 75710? Since impression states successful thrombolysis ,I was heldup with choosing code for thrombolysis.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!
