Is anyone else having trouble getting mental health claims processed with MDWise MCE's? Primarily MDWise IU Health... I have multiple, and I do mean MULTIPLE denied claims which have clearly denied in error. I have spoken to everyone imaginable within their organization and I have gotten absolutely no where! My provider rep for the past year has been telling me she "is looking into it", but I never hear back from her unless I, once again, initiate the inquiry, and I again am told she is "looking into it". I am absolutely at my wits end. One major issue I keep having is with sending mental health claims to MdWise IU Health and getting back a remittance advice from MDWise Family Planning, telling me these services are not covered under family planning! Well... I did NOT submit the claims to family planning. The problem is... the address for MDWise IU health claims is the exact same as MDWise Family Planning. I've tried everything including faxing the claims, writing at the top of the claim "MENTAL HEALTH NOT FAMILY PLANNING" or "PLEASE HAND PROCESS" No progress... In one instance I appealed some of these denied claims, received notice the claims would be reprocessed, then never heard another word! I finally called and was told (after being on hold for ONE hour) that the claims were marked for reprocessing, but "no one reprocessed them".. ??!! Guess what... I still have not received payment! Other excuses for denying is "untimely filing limit" this was for a dos that was within 10 days of the date of the EOB!!?? Or "no prior auth on file" for services that do not require prior auth for providers who ARE in network! MdWise IU Health now owes my practice thousands of dollars and I am approaching one year of battling claims that I am always told should have paid!!! I call the claims department and am placed on hold forever, I have on more than one occasion left a voicemail and I have not gotten a single call back! I am prepared to take all my documentation to the Indiana Dept of Insurance, or CMS!
