Catherine,

Go to Reports, Custom Reports Lists, look for Security Permission Grid under Report Title & print it. This report will look like a spreadsheet. It has different listing of operations on the left side & security level on top from 1-5. Level 1 being having all access to level 5 has the least access on certain area or reports. Use this as your guide.

Use this like a schedule for your children (if you have some), different person gets a different time for using the telephone, having a say on what TV show to watch, washing clothes, dishes, etc.

One your situation, my recommendation is to use level 5 for your clients access if they only want to "view" the files. Under the Process column, look for the word "view" and go to the right under column Level 5 and mark it. You do this for all the Windows that you want them to "view only".

After you are done, go to Security Setup and (THIS IS IMPORTANT) create a username & password for yourself, make sure that your's is LEVEL 1, if you don't do it, you would not be able to log back in. And then create a username/password like I instructed you on my previous posts. Do exactly what you did on the printout, mark the Level 5 column & save it. It will tell you to this user mest log-out before the settings will take effect, do it & log back on using the newly created username/password combination.

Go back and log-in using the username/password on Level 5 only and try to do some printing & editing, etc. This will give an idea on how they will be able to use Medisoft. You might have to do some refining here & there but you will get the hang of it.

Let me know how it goes & you can always use the help features that is built-in (just press F1 button).

BTW, where are you located, Catherine?
