No. I've read article after article on how Medicare determines how much they are going to pay as a secondary, and it is still Greek to me!

When Medicare is in the secondary position, I accept what they say the patient portion is (unless the entire amount paid by all parties is less than the Medicare allowable, in which case I appeal). If they can come up with an EASY way to understand how they calculate that amount, THEN and ONLY THEN will I identify anything as an overpayment.

When they are primary, it is easy, there is a fee schedule.
