This isn't about potentially fraudulent activities; that is a whole 'nother ballgame.

There is no patient abandonment if you offer to handle their emergency needs for 90 days and direct them how to get care (listing the customer service phone number on their card, the names/numbers of patient referral services, etc.), as well as giving them 90 days of whatever meds they are on.

A doctor in private practice is not required to keep anyone as a patient. I don't know why a doctor would keep anyone who treats the staff badly, or why a patient would want to see a doctor who treats them badly.

If a doctor ever yelled at me, I would be writing a complaint to their licensing board about their abusive behavior. Let them spend some time defending themselves for that.
