Hi Becky,

I do not think this chiro is writing a prescription for PT. Who the patient sees for PT (chiro or PT) is determined by the benefits. Some insurances allow PT to be performed by chiro, and some only allow PT benefits if performed by PT. So the ones that need a PT, he refers to the PT for initial assessment and treatment plan, then he performs the treatments and tells me to bill under the PT ID#. They ask specifically when verifying the benefits, if PT must be performed by a PT.

What ruling are you talking about? I would be very interested in reading about it if you can give me a website or anything.

Where are you in MI - I moved to CA 4 years ago from Birmingham. I lived there for 30 years, and owned a retail store in Birmingham for 10 years! Miss MI at times (basicly spring and fall!)

Thanks so much,
